SEO is not about magic tricks
Doing SEO without resorting to tricks is hard. It is hard to
build great content and fix crummy code, build linking relationships and get
people to share and link to your content, it is hard to completely change
everything you do every year or so because your websites keep getting
algorithmic slaps. Over-reliance on SEO tricks can cause your rankings and
traffic to be completely wiped out overnight by these updates.
The problem with SEO tricks is that they are about getting a
site to the top of the SERPs regardless of whether it deserves to be there or
not. That is the kind of trick that search engines have a personal stake in
continuing to combat, which leads to algorithmic updates like Penguin.
SEO is an art rather than a science and all kinds of myths
surround it. The simple fact is that nobody knows how the search algorithms
work because search engine companies do not tell anyone. They do publish
guidelines for web developers that can help improve a page’s position in the
search results pages (SERPS) and Google says it uses something that is called
“Query Deserved Freshness (QDF).” This means that if a topic is attracting a
lot of interest, they will look for any fresh content related to it and boost
the ranking of pages that are most relevant.
Without a foundation of quality SEO in place, you are going
to spend a lot of your time fixing stuff and doing stuff over every time the
search engines catch on to your latest trick. The search engines have a
personal stake in combating these tricks and leads to algorithmic updates all
the time.

Tactics that Never Stop Working
- SEO changes all the time, but here are some things that have never stopped working for us:
Find the terms that people are using to search for your products, and then talk about your products on-site using those terms, without keyword stuffing. Selecting the right keywords helps you to build a solid foundation for your website and Ads campaigns.
Search engine friendly
A search engine friendly site will ensure there is unique content on each page of the site and the content does more than just hold a place on the page. It is actual content that is specifically relevant to what searchers are looking for and optimized to perform well in the search engines.
Make sure a search engine can find every page on your site, read the content, and figure out what the page is about.
Fixing broken links and stuff
Fix the broken links on your site (A broken link is a webpage that cannot be found or accessed by a user, for several reasons), remove duplicate content and work to make the complete site faster. Broken links will affect your Google Search results; however, they will not impact your overall SEO.
Fresh and updated content
Fresh content means that a website’s pages have been updated or new ones have been added. It can be a key factor that search engines consider when determining a page’s ranking in its search results, but it is not as important as quality and relevance.
Create interesting, relevant, fresh content that is designed to engage users and encourage them to share it.
Any changes or additions to a web page such as recent blog posts or links to other sites will be considered fresh content. Search engine spiders or web crawlers are constantly searching the World Wide Web for latest content to update their indexes and they treat it differently to “evergreen” sites whose content rarely changes. This does not mean that latest content will always outrank old content because some pages do not need to change
Building links with high authority sites
Build links to your site from other high-authority sites with which you share a topic or audience – better yet, build relationships with those sites that can earn you links repeatedly.
The process of building high value backlinks is both time consuming and strenuous, with many websites resorting to buying links from high authority blogs rather than putting in the effort to get more links organically.
There are several tried and tested strategies that you can adopt which will result in getting more high authority links to your site.
User experience
Make sure you have an enjoyable experience for users once they get to the site, the content they see is the content they want. That is what search engines want to happen, and that’s how users give you money. Best and good user experience design has many advantages and benefits for your business, in other words, is how users feel when they interact with your website.
Doing things, the right way (the hard way) may not work as
fast, but it will work for longer. Every time your competitors get slapped down
for their SEO tricks, they must spend a few months fixing everything and making
up for the rankings they lost when their tricks stopped working, then finding a
new trick and implementing that. You get to spend that same time building your
foundation even stronger. Over time that is going to make for a solid, well
ranked, algorithm-proof site.
